WEDNESDAY SUP TRAINING

SUP Tonic has developed a great local community of stand up paddlers over the past 5 years. We train at a non-competitive level to improve balance and fitness.

Our training/drills sessions take place on Wednesday evenings at Claughton Reserve, Bayswater from 5.00 pm – 6.30 pm. This is a protected flat-water section of the river and offers plenty of free parking, ablutions and beach for launching. Sessions are based around entry level and intermediate paddlers who want to improve fitness and skills.  BYO board or hire options available with advance bookings. Booking essential.

We aim to be on the water at 5.00 pm sharp with a quick briefing before getting started.

Bring:

BYO board
Change of clothes
Booties (optional)
Towel
Water
Sunscreen & sun protective clothing, hat
If wearing sunglasses, please wear cheap one. If you Ray Bans fall into the river, you won’t get them back!
A wet suit is not necessary. Leggings, shorts, rashie and light wind jacket will be sufficient.
