Parking:
Small free parking area

Basic ablution block
BBQ & Picnic Areas:
Peaceful parklands. No BBQs but a great picnic setting.
Cafes:

Safety Notes/General Comments:
Be mindful of submerged tree branches and old jetty posts near the river’s edge. Random rocks are possible at the launch entry point—boat & ferry activity. Water is quite open so it can be choppy in windy conditions. It’s a short paddle (under 30 minutes) to Claisebrook Cove East Perth where you could stop for coffee breakfast etc. Take some tie-downs for your board to secure to the jetty or use your leg rope. You need to have a good balance to hop from your board to the jetty so be careful or you will get wet if you plan to stop for a meal. It’s a lovely spot and well worth checking out.

Safety Notes/General Comments:
Be mindful of submerged tree branches and old jetty posts near the river’s edge. Random rocks are possible at the launch entry point. Some boat & ferry activity here and is a popular spot with kayakers.
Tie-down straps could be useful to secure your board just in case you want to have a walk around. There are a few little jetties (some private) in various places along this river section (heading towards Guilford) but make sure you can get off your board and onto the jetty easily enough before attempting it. Good spot to practice paddling.

Sup Launch Location:
Freshwater Bay: The Esplanade, Peppermint Grove. Launch from The Esplanade or Keanes Reserve end of Johnson Street. (Mosman Bay Sea Scouts Group). I like launching from here if I’m heading to Freo as you don’t have the extra paddle around the Freshwater Bay yacht pen.

Chidley Point, Mosman Park
Sup Launch Location:
Chidley Point Reserve. Chidley Way, Mosman Park. Good size launch beach. Very clean white sand. Crystal clear water.
Parking:
Two free car parks. The lower car park is down the very steep drive that leads down to the beach and has a small amount of parking for about 6 cars. The upper car park has plenty of bays. If there are no bays available at the lower car park you could unload your boards then park at the upper car park.
Ablution Facilities:
Unisex toilet. The door opens automatically and plays music while you are busy. It’s interesting! I suggest that you wear thongs as the floor can get a bit grubby and bring toilet paper just in case they have not stocked up!
BBQ & Picnic Areas:
There are a couple of BBQs, picnic tables plenty of shade trees.
Cafes:
Nil. The nearest café is across the river at Point Walter.
Safety Notes/General Comments:
Be mindful of rocks at the river’s edge that your fin might get caught on. A few random rocks found at the launch entry point. A lot of boat & ferry activity here creating some waves up to the beach. Its gets very busy on Australia Day and a lot of boats will moor here. Have fun with the boat wakes but keep out of their way and make sure you know what is going on around you. Check wind conditions before heading out as this section can get very choppy.
