Point Walter Bicton

Sup Launch Location:
Point Walter:  Honour Avenue, Bicton. Fantastic sandy beach to launch from.

Reasonable amount of free parking. There is an upper and lower car park. If the lower car park is full you could off load you board and then drive to the upper car park. It’s a fairly short walk to the beach from the lower car park.

Ablution Facilities:
Good ablutions and shower block near the cafe.

BBQ & Picnic Areas:
Several BBQ’s and picnic tables. Great picnic spot. Plenty of shady trees

Point Walter Cafe and kiosk.

Safety Notes/General Comments:
Be mindful of submerged sharp rocks that are all along the rivers edge. Random rocks are possible at the launch entry point. Busy boat & ferry activity in the river channel. It can get choppy if the wind is up. Dolphins often seen here and plenty of fish around. Great scenic paddling along the Blackwall Reach Cliffs. Fantastic spot to paddle on a calm day.
